Natalia Martinez, Artist & Curator

I was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. My birthplace is a fusion of western, Hispanic, and indigenous culture. As an artist, I am skilled in Mexican Religious Folk Art. However, I experiment and study various mediums and styles. This allows me to create a variety of commissioned-based works of art.

As a visual learner, I’ve fostered a passion for collaborating with artists, non-profits, and small businesses to create visually thoughtful exhibitions.

I have a B.A. in Art History and Museum Conservation from New Mexico State University. My curatorial work in New Mexico goes beyond designing exhibitions, from managing programs that foster minority artists to developing community-focused initiatives. As a “Curatorial Activist,” I believe exhibits are spaces that can educate communities, transform opinions, and evoke meaningful conversations. Regardless of languages, upbringings, or levels of educations. If you would like to collaborate on an project please feel free to email me at artebynatalia@gmail.com !
